Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Delhi and take a train to Haridwar. Today we take you to a hotel at Haridwar/Rishikesh. In the evening, you can experience the divine Ganga Arati (worship of the river Ganges) simply stroll along or sit by its banks.
Day 2: Today, we start early after breakfast to drive to Uttarkashi. Situated on the bank of roaring Bhagirathi, this town is famous for the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM). The drive to Uttarkashi is beautiful and along the Bhagirathi river.
We'll arrive at Uttarkashi in the afternoon. After lunch and some rest, we'll walk up to the Kashi Vishwanath temple followed by a tour of NIM.
We'll stay the night at a hotel / Tourist guest house.
Day 3: Today, we'll drive to Gangotri(5 to 6hr) after breakfast . We'll stop for lunch enroute at Gangnani and you could even take a splash under a refreshing hot spring. We'll arrive at Gangotri in the afternoon and we'll help you check in to your hotel / Tourist guest house. In the evening you will witness the Ganga Arati at Gangotri and the worship of the goddess in the temple.
Day 4: GANGOTRI (for acclimatization):
Today we'll explore Gangotri. We will visit the Surya Kund where you will find interesting rock formations eroded due to the strong current of the Bhagirathi. We will also visit the Pandava Gufa which is believed to have been the resting place of the Pandavas of the Mahabharata. In the evening you can stroll in the market area or simply sit by the banks of the Bhagirathi.
Day 5: GANGOTRI TO NALA CAMP
It’s a beautiful trek today through the forests of the Gangotri National Park. We pitch our tents at Nala Camp for the day.
Day 6: Nala Camp to Rudugaira Base Camp (7km)
It’s a steep climb today to Rudugaira BC. Once you reach Rudugaira, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the Gangotri Group of peaks and the Rudugaira peak.

Day 7: Acclimatization day at Rudugaira Base Camp
Day 8: Rudugaira BC to Auden’s Col BC (6-7hrs)
The trail is marked today with steep ascents and descents amidst moraines. One has to be very careful in negotiating this.
Day 9: Auden’s Col Pass to Khatling Glacier (8-9hrs trek)
Today is the longest day of the trek. It’s a steep ascent to Auden’s Col Pass and the trail is marked with many crevasses. There is no fixed path and one has to fix ropes in certain areas to dodge these crevasses. The descent to Khatling Glacier from the pass is steep and one has to rappel down almost 300m to reach the Glacier. This Glacier is infested with crevasses and again it takes an experienced lead to negotiate this. The camp for today is fixed on a flat area on the glacier.
Day 10: Khatling Glacier to Zero Point (6-7hrs trek)
There’s a lot of boulder hopping today and we reach Zero Point which marks the end of the Khatling Glacier. We will camp here for the night.
Day 11: Zero Point to Chowki (4hrs)
Trekkers proceeding towards Kedarnath will camp Chowki whereas the others can go towards Ghuttu where the trek will end.
Day 8: Rudugaira BC to Auden’s Col BC (6-7hrs)

Day 13: Masara Tal to Vasuki Tal via Mayali Pass(6-7 hrs trek)
The first part of the trek to Mayali Pass is a steep ascent through boulders. Before reaching the pass, one has to negotiate an ice wall too. From Mayali pass, it’s a steep descent to Vasuki Tal.
Day 14: Vasuki Tal to Kedarnath (2-3hrs trek)
It’s a relatively easier descent today to Kedarnath. We stay here today and experience the evening arati here.
Day 15: Today, one can directly trek down to Gaurikund or reach Guptkashi by helicopter from Kedarnath.
The first part of the trek is climbing through meadows and the second part is climbing over a rocky surface. This brings to our camp site at Masara Tal which is a beautiful emerald lake.
Day 13: Masara Tal to Vasuki Tal via Mayali Pass(6-7 hrs trek)
The first part of the trek to Mayali Pass is a steep ascent through boulders. Before reaching the pass, one has to negotiate an ice wall too. From Mayali pass, it’s a steep descent to Vasuki Tal.
Day 14: Vasuki Tal to Kedarnath (2-3hrs trek)
It’s a relatively easier descent today to Kedarnath. We stay here today and experience the evening arati here.
Day 15: Today, one can directly trek down to Gaurikund or reach Guptkashi by helicopter from Kedarnath.
